My baby’s a Texan

Not that we ever doubted it – but baby girl proved it yesterday as we were at Nanny & Grandpa’s swimming.  We came in from the pool – showered abi off (sweet thang’s got super sensitive skin, so we have to get the chlorine off of her quickly!) – and started packing up to leave.  So, we turned on the music channels on the TV.  First = jazz = abi, not so much.  She was interested, but kind of turned up her nose at it.  Ahhh, but then we switched to the country channel – and Abi lit up.  As we were two-stepping, as well as a dallas-boy and michigan-girl can – abi just went nuts.  The song playing: George Strait’s “How ‘bout them cowgirls.”  Oh Abi girl – we love your quirkiness.  We need to start looking for your fist set of pink cowgirl boots.

I learned with Evan that good old school sounding country music was awesome. For Evan it was George Strait...we would two step the day away, starting almost from birth. Abbie's a little more "modern" as her pick has been Pat Green. I think she may even recognize it now. If she's super fussy, on goes Pat Green and a little mommy/daughter two-stepping calms her right down. Their beats are perfect...monotonous. Love that she's a Texas gal already!
